I found out these strange babies that Terri put in our deer pen are called goats. Brendy Godfrey has brought me grain and Penny Thaxton hay to feed them. We sure do thank them for helping us out.
I told Panzer the other day that he would have to go to the vet soon and be neutered. His ears got tense and he started thumping his furry tail. It was obvious that he didn't know what I meant and from his reaction, I chose not to give him details. I just told him it is what all cats and doggies should have done at the age of 6 months and it allows them to have a longer and healther life.
Smokie's daddy sent me the nicest letter and picture of their dog. She was adopted from my house a few months ago and her daddy bragged about what a nice girl she is and how much the while family love her. I just get all puffed up when I hear these nice things.
My Pet Pick Suzie is the cutest little girl. She is only a year old and Corgi mix. I also have Romeo a 1 1/2 year old male Cock-a-poo, a beautiful adult male Lassie Collie, my nice Doberman who was Pet Pick last week and lovely adult cats and kitties all waiting to be adopted.
Panzer really takes his job of doing Pet Tops seriously. He spends most of his time doing research. This week his subject is on declawing cats: He has learned the operation of declawing is very painful because in order for the nails not to grow back, the whole toe is removed down to the first knuckle. After this is done, the personality of a cat generally changes for the worse. If they accidentally get outside, they lack the ability to defend themselves against danger. There are many humane ways to prevent a kitty from using household items as scratching posts. First, train them to use a scratching post and do you know we cats hate the odor of citrus? Therefore, put out dried orange or lemon peel on its favorite scratching spots and use lemon scented polish on your furniture. Also, use a lemon scented air freshener wherever needed. This will not only make you house smell nice, but it will save your cat from agonizing torture.
A nice lady acquired an Iguana as a gift, and therefore, had to take it. She gave it the very best of care with the proper food, sunlight, and carried out all the requirements needed for this exotic pet. It died at the age of 3 years even though it had been cared for by her and and exotic animal vet. The lady knew if it had been in its wild habitat, it would have lived to be at least 40 years old. She called to tell me her story and asked that I let everyone know how cruel it is to harbor exotic or wild animals as pets. Their lives are certainly shoutened by living in capitivity and, of course, their happiness to run free in the wild is taken away from then. Please remember this stoy and know if everyone stopped buying them, the greedy money makers would be out of business and the animals would be left to live out their lives in peace and harmony.
